GEMKEN-L BUGweb®
Awarded ”Gear of the Year” among Scandinavian outdoor products for Fall/Winter 2008/09. Gemken is an anatomically well built shoe with a sole construction that combines the comfort of a running shoe with the stability of a trekking shoe.
The upper is water proof with a breathable BUGdriTM membrane.
But the final decision for the Scandinavian Outdoor Award jury was taken because of the unique function of the BUGweb compatible sole. We quote from the jury’s reasoning: “The BUGweb is a rubber device that can be attached to the sole to prevent slipping on icy, snowy or rocky surface. It has six carbide tip studs. Thanks to the elasticity of the BUGweb device, it fits easily into the sole pattern of style GEMKEN. It is easy to put on and off, depending on your need for grip.”
An excellent shoe for walking and light trekking – and not least for an active life with the dog.
