Icebug For Trail Running

Swedish traction specialist Icebug is of this date and for the coming two years official supplier of trail running (or one might even say off-trail) shoes to Ski Team Sweden X-country.
“Often when we run as part of our training, we do it in pathless terrain. These shoes with studs and durable materials are perfect for that”, says Sweden’s captain Joakim Abrahamsson.
The styles that the athletes have selected are the light and flexible Spirit OLX, and the more protective and stable Sisu OLX. They are designed to withstand the toughest conditions with low absorbing material to minimize the wet weight. But the most prominent feature is the traction that the 15-16 carbide tip steel studs deliver.
“The running becomes safer and much more controlled with a decreased injury risk, since you get such good grip and come close to the ground. This will definitely be a valuable tool for us”, says Joakim Abrahamsson.
Icebug wishes Ski Team Sweden good luck with the upcoming season, and are proud to have been selected as supplier.
“We have known for a long time that our shoes are well suited for X-country skiers’ pre-season training – there are several X-country stars from different countries that use Icebug sort of “off the record”. It’s nice to be able to communicate it officially now”, says David Ekelund, CEO Icebug.
